Vintage tracks from Rev James Cleveland, The Jackson Southernaires, Rev Clay Evens and Albertina Walker

MISSISSIPPI-based record label Malaco Records are compiling a series of albums showcasing some of the giants of gospel music. The Original Gospel Classics Series will kick off at the end of May with albums by gospel pioneer Rev James Cleveland who once worked with Aretha Franklin and had the first million selling choir album; one of the most popular of the male quartets of the '80s and '90s The Jackson Southernaires; the veteran singer and preacher who has released more than 40 albums, Rev Clay Evans; and gospel matriarch and founder of the legendary Caravans, Albertina Walker.
