Luma win fourth heat of national Christian music talent search.

A BAND from Glasgow, Luma, described by one of the judges, Cross Rhythms' general manager Jonathan Bellamy, as "thinking man's rock", won the fourth heat of The Ultimate Showcase. The latest heat of the national Christian music talent search was held at Southwood Community Centre, Farnborough, Hampshire on 29th January. Approximately 80 people attended. The other participants were energetic rock band Bingo Tonight, singer/songwriter Charly Cooper and progressive rock unit Free Flights Up.

Luma will now go through to the final, to be held in Birmingham in April along with previous heat winners The 29th Chapter, Acquitted and Soulcry. The winner of The Ultimate Showcase will perform as the opening act at Alton Towers The Ultimate Event as well as receiving recording time in a top studio, album designs and a video of their single. The final heat for The Ultimate Showcase will be at Melton on 12th February. CR
