Toby Mac releases debut album

DC TALK member Toby McKeehan releases his debut album under the name Toby Mac in November through EMI Christian Music Group. On 'Momentum', the artist goes back to his hip hop roots. He commented, "I like to come at things with a certain boldness. I like to just speak straight ahead. That's what hip hop is." Describing his music as fusion hip hop, Toby Mac's musical influences are "all over the map".

ForeFront Records have described the project as "Beck and Arrested Development meets the Red Hot Chilli Peppers." Included on the album is a hip hop version of Dianna Ross' "Do You Know Where You're Going To?".
