Tom Jones records gospel orientated project 'Praise And Blame'

VETERAN Welsh pop star Tom Jones spoke recently on BBC TV's The Andrew Marr Show about his new gospel and blues album 'Praise And Blame'. In the interview the singer said, "I found God years ago," and referred to his early pre-showbiz days singing in church. Read an enthusiastic review in NME, "Although it's not the mainstream entertainer we're used to, the album still emphasises his powerful vocals, just in a more stripped-back, salvation-seeking fashion." CR

Only heard a couple of tracks off this as yeT , but it sounds brilliant and organic. I dont know what the guy who sings about Delilah and sexbombs personal convictions are, but this is emotional dynamite.
Perhaps the man from the valleys is having his own Welsh revival. Hope the Christian press dont smother these first public wakings of faith by expecting him to now produce only gospel albums.
