The new album by Adrian Snell inspired by earthly and Heavenly fatherly love

THE LATEST album by Adrian Snell, whose preŽvious concept album 'Alpha And Omega' became the best selling European origin gospel album ever, is about to release a new album inspired by the life and death of his father. Entitled 'Father' the album will explore the link between an earthly fatherly love and our relationship with a Heavenly Father. It grew out of the time of mourning the singer/songwriter experienced when his father, Geoffrey Stuart Snell, former Bishop of Croydon and HM Forces died in July 1988. Says the singer about the LP, set for release by Word (UK) in May: "The question in my mind was how on earth do I do justice to my father. In a sense I couldn't! What I could do was produce a work that reflected the heart of the issue without trying to write loads of songs necessarily about him."

The 'Father' album will feature classical instrumentation and synthesizer programming and was recorded at a Bury studio in February. Adrian is also busying himself in preparation for a tour of Holland, where he will be reviving his classical concept musical of Christ's crucifixion 'The Passion'. CR
