United Kingdom Christian Music Alliance will close on 30th November

BRITISH Christian music organisation United Kingdom Christian Music Alliance (UKCMA), founded by journalist and broadcaster Paul Davis who died earlier this year, is to fold. The UKCMA has run for several years an annual awards ceremony at Whitby and has compiled 84 volumes of 'New Christian Music' various artists albums for circulation to radio. Read a statement from the Trustees, "It is with heavy hearts that the trustees have to announce the closure of UKCMA. Following the home call of Paul Davis the Trustees met to decide a way forward; It was felt that without the guiding light of Paul and his tremendous fount of knowledge of the Christian Music scene they would not be able to continue and therefore advertised for a group or individual to take on the aims and objectives of the organisation, alas to no avail; therefore UKCMA will close on 30th November 2011." CR
