Trans World Radio to broadcast the Cross Rhythms radio programme in Africa.

CROSS Rhythms, in partnership with Trans World Radio, are to begin broadcasting the Cross Rhythms radio programme in seven Southern African nations, South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mallawi, Swaziland, Leswotha and Zambia, in mid July.

Trans World Radio have spent approximately £12,500 to purchase one hour a week for a year on various stations. For its part Cross Rhythms is to cover the production costs of the programmes, which will be made in their Plymouth studio. At the request of Trans World, the programmes will feature 60 percent British contemporary Christian music and 40 percent American. Chris Cole, Cross Rhythms Radio presenter, said he was excited by this latest development. "Cross Rhythms is striving to build an infrastructure for contemporary Christian music in the UK", he said, "This international coverage will surely assist us to do this.

"British Christian albums are already being distributed in some African territories. It is expected that the air play will encourage sales of this material and more importantly spread the gospel." CR
