Intentions to sell Word Records and GET Management to lower costs

GAYLORD ENTERTAINMENT, the owners of America's biggest Christian record company Word Records, have announced their intention of selling off Word Records and GET Management in an effort to lower costs. As reported in Business Wire, Gaylord is "in discussions with various parties" that may lead to the sale of Word and GET. "We are holding discreet discussions with selected parties regarding the potential disposition of Word Entertainment, our Christian music label, and GET Management, our artist management business. We will make no further announcements related to these investments until a definitive agreement is signed or alternative courses of actions are outlined," stated Colin Reed, Gaylord's CEO.

Word Records is home to numerous big name artists like Point Of Grace, 4Him, Sandi Patty, Cindy Morgan, Jaci Velasquez, Amy Grant, Mary Mary and many more. GET Management is the artist management agency that manages the careers of artists like Michael W Smith, Rachael Lampa, Amy Grant and author Frank Peretti.
