Eastbourne holds January event

THE BIGGEST praise and worship teaching event in Britain was held in Eastbourne in January. Worship Together '97, held from 24th to 26th January, attracted nearly 2,800 local church worship leaders, delegates coming from places as far away as Nigeria, Iceland and Belgium. The event, held at the Devonshire Park Complex in Eastbourne and organised by Kingsway Music's Worship Together magazine featured Graham Kendrick, Matt Redman, Noel Richards, Dave Bilbrough, Dave Fellingham, Sue Rinaldi, Stuart Townend, Maggie Dawn and many other worship leaders/teachers. Subjects covered included Releasing The Prophetic and Worship Creativity.

Said Conference Director Dave Roberts, "An attendance of 1,300 had been anticipated but the demand was overwhelming. There is clearly a hunger for information and inspiration." Stuart Townend, worship leader on the best selling Stoneleigh Live albums, commented, "What we discussed and discovered and the things we learned about God and from Him will literally have a worldwide impact." CR
