Coventry rockers [dweeb] sign with Risen Records

IN A SURPRISE move the rock band described by broadcaster Mike Rimmer as "the best unsigned Christian band in the UK," Coventry-based [dweeb] have inked a deal with West Country independent label Risen Records.[dweeb] are now working on their debut full length album which will be released in the summer.

Risen, who hope to announce a retail distribution deal in due course, are one of the UK's brightest new Christian labels who have already released CDs by Bosh, Brother John and Echolab. Said Risen's Nathan Maynard, "We are hugely excited that [dweeb] have signed with Risen Records. Anyone who has seen their stage performances will know what a brilliant band this is while their commitment to a bold declaration of spiritual truth means they share the same ethos as the existing community of musicians with whom we are building." CR
