2nd Chance (Ewart Blake) hails from Jamaica and now resides in Florida with his young family. 'Heavenly Highway' is the third album from the gospel singer, and second with producer Dale Virgo (Dr Dizzle). If you love classic gospel music, then you may well like this. However the main difference between this album and someone like Kirk Franklin is simple: production. The songwriting is pretty good, but I'm sure would be so much better with a much bigger sound. "I Want To Know More" is an example of poor production, with drums that sound like they eminate from a Casio keyboard, probably the same keyboard that the piano sound comes from. It's hard to take the songs seriously when the accompaniments are so demo quality. I'd like to hear what 2nd Chance and guest singer Dahlia Ashley could do with a reasonable recording budget.
