Humility is one of those sought after fruits of the Spirit is it not? Humility is knowing your place. Humility, for example, is when a band who didn't want you to be their bass player turn round and ask you to review their new album and you have to admit that it's actually pretty good even though you're not on it! So here is a chunk of solid 'straight' metal from a four piece band built around the Metallica style riffs of guitarist Mike Spear. The title track which opens the album is classic metal fantasy stuff. 3rd Day's material is evangelistic in nature but deals with other issues of life too, such as suicide, parenthood and the deception of politicians and religious cults. Their style is obviously British power metal although other rock influences are subtly evident, the chops are solid and the soloing is cracking. A good example of a type of band that is all too rare nowadays.
