An established partnership between father and son who appear to have got their relationship well oiled and have made a sound album in the process. It's American, gutsy with a good dancy, positive effect. This is pure pop rock gospel with lyrics that will touch your soul and reach any generation with its timeless message. I was initially disappointed by the lack of dramatic impact that I felt the lyrics deserved, but after whopping up the bass I began to appreciate the subtle touches in the backing track. Passionate vocals, carrying sincerity and conviction, with touches of piano and saxophone adding a rich dimension. If you're looking for a clean, though undeniably safe sound you've got it here.
