Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Shust has not taken the tried and tested routed to CCM success through moving to Nashville and seeking to be a Christian music superstar. Instead he was minding his own business leading worship in his home church and writing songs for his congregation to sing. Then a friend with a studio suggested he should record them. But it wasn't a Christian label that came calling but a local secular Atlanta-based label who signed up what is quickly becoming the worship hit of 2006! The runaway success of this album's biggest song "My Saviour, My God" has meant that Shust suddenly finds himself propelled out of his home church environment onto the charts and on tours across America. The album is wonderfully free from the usual worship cliches that are currently boring me so you get powerful edgy pop rock on songs like "Glory To You", "Give It All Away" and "Matchless". Elsewhere, this is packed with great worship songs that don't sound like worship songs so "Stillness" is a superb pop tune and "One Day" has an acoustic R&B feel. If you're tired of the same old same old when it comes to worship, here's something wonderfully fresh.
