Maybe it's the cliched nature of the lyrics, which stay in standard "all I am I give to you/hold me in your arms" vein or maybe it's the thinness of the sound which never reaches the rock attack it sometimes aims for, but I remained rather unmoved by this debut from a new Canterbury band. The great strength of the band are the two female singers who have excellent voices and harmonise well, so when they soar over a delicate acoustic guitar or a flowing cello goose pimples momentarilly appear. But lack of truly memorable songs and absence of production focus means this isn't an album likely to attract many beyond the band's immediate church circles.
