A four-piece band with an alternative feel who have a habit of building effective grooves over which vocalist John Waller sings and growls! The opening cut. "Reality", builds from a Rembrandts-style start before breaking out into a lull-on funky rock'n'roller but the tempo soon slides into acoustic atmospheric mould with "Make Me Like You" with its psalm-like lyrical quality. The 'Mindy's Revenge' featured song. "Follow"', has a tight rhythm and catchy arrangement acting as an excellent calling card for this recording. "As I Am" has a dream like quality with plenty of guitar textures and a choppy chorus asserting that "Just as 1 am he loves me" before drifting off into more dreamy textures. Cool! "Move On" grooves with a self-conscious funkiness and blue-eye soulful vocal that almost works. "What If.'" is melodic pop rock with a challenging lyric and the album's closer. "Shape Of God", pulls the whole album to a concluding challenge to the listener to know God. Can't argue with the ministry aspects of this album nor the quality of music. Good rather than outstanding independent release that did not have enough to pull me completely in.
