The second release from the Chicago-based duo. The opener "Free" only hints at what is coming with its gentle folk guitar and beautiful vocals from Sarah Knott exquisitely balanced with Ryan's. This wonderful combination of vocals continues throughout but comes to the fore in "Unchanging" with its minor key and up tempo middle section giving emphasis to the lyrics. "Messiah" breaks up the sound with a quirky banjo romp while "Mile In My Shoes" confidently swings along while asking some very serious questions. The song writing is consistently strong bringing a modern perspective to many bible truths and situation that everyone finds themselves in, and the arrangements bring them all to life giving each song a unique feel. While it would no doubt have benefited from some big buck production the strength of the songwriting and vocal performances ensure that 'Impact' has. . . er. . . impact.
