Picking up where the original Sonicflood left off, Acquire The Fire has taken rock 'n' roll worship as their own. The first track "Lift" does a good job at introducing the listener to the worship experience, with a heavy dose of guitars. This is one of only a few original compositions made for this disc, but the Vineyard songs are well picked, as is Tim Hughes' "Here I Am To Worship" and Mercy Me's "I Can Only Imagine". Once again, Acquire The Fire make a decent collection of worship songs aimed at rock 'n' roll worshippers. That is the benefit and drawback of this CD. While it is well played, and the arrangements are well presented, it lacks immediacy of worship and approachability. "I Can Only Imagine" has become a standard cover that is used too often. While it may be sincerely used in the Acquire The Fire events across the US, it seems like it was added so people would buy the CD. One of the pleasant surprises on the disc was the extra track with Keith Green performing his song "Oh Lord, You're Beautiful". It can't get any better than that! 'Live The Difference' is a good commercial representation of an Acquire The Fire event and is sure to continue to inspire young people to worship God in a cool way. This is the best Acquire The Fire worship collection yet and fans of this particular brand of rock n' roll worship won't be disappointed.

Does anyone know the female vocalist on the tracks "Take My Heart" & "Lord, I Seek you"?...I've research this info on & off for a while and can not seem to find information on the female vocalist in those two songs. This is a great CD. I just wish I knew more about the individual artist who are performing so I can support their music.

Thanks!!!

a reply to the person wanting to know the singer on the c.d. on "take my heart", her name is lindsay hall. But she's getting married so her name will soon change, and "Lord I seek you" was also Lindsay, but Stephanie Tawlks/Krier (recently married) was also on the track. The other vocalists not on these tracks are Don Hejny and Micah Tawlks which both have C.D's out of Nashville and you can find them on myspace. You can also find my music on Myspace under Derek Boomer, i was the drummer on the C.D. you're asking about. Any more questions you can e-mail me at derlik55@yahoo.com.

hey, this is great! I was the drummer on the tour of ATF 03' and to respond to the "i can only imagine"...We wanted of course some new songs like "Live the Differnece",...etc. But we had to bring some songs in for the people at the event to really know, like "I can only imagine". The C.D was much different than what we actually played at the events, even on the C.D we wanted the songs to be our creation...It was more for people to not have to look at the words, but already know them...But I'm glad to see you think this is the best ATF C.D. Good column!! Serving Him, *boomer*
