Adam leads Big House in Norfolk, Virginia which is a local church with a dynamic worship and arts community. This is Adam's seventh release, his voice, to me at least, has a Don Francisco-esque quality and the instrumental work here is exemplary. "In The Shadow" is an outstanding song that cries out for God to "Hide me in the shadow of your wing," and declares "I called and you came/How can I find a way for my heart to say/I love you more." It is a beautiful song that rises and falls perfectly both dynamically and lyrically. The album is rounded off nicely with "There You Go Again" with a cry to creatives of all kinds to "come on" and bring their rawest, truest offering to a God who can't help but meet us where we are when we do this. The five songs here last 23 minutes so settle down, turn the TV off, grab your Bible and with 'Troubadour' playing enjoy God for a bit.
