Sometimes it's a long and winding road that gets someone to where they were meant to be and often the biographical detail is important to understand the music that comes as a result. Adam is a good example. A Christian upbringing with a sound musical education followed by apathy and a drift into a hum drum (if materially successful life). Then God steps in to miraculously grab his attention and reignite his musical gift. This biography has given Adam a strength and depth of experience that is reflected in the songs collected here in his first album. Most of the words speak straightforwardly of a man's response to the good God has done for him on the journey so far. He has a strong and energetic voice to match his songs and the production by that seasoned hitmaker Michael Omartian gives depth and weight to the whole thing. Now it might be said that neither the mid-paced rock-tinged pop sound nor the lyrics provide any huge surprises but maybe that doesn't matter - who needs novelty when good solid song writing and performing are present.
