PMA. . . Positive Mental Attitude - Adrian's got a massive overdose. Every track on this album is infused with overwhelming positivity (giving thanks and praise to God for all his blessings) that exudes a party atmosphere. Think of Kirk Franklin's "Stomp" and take it to the Bahamas with glorious sunshine, beaches and Caribbean rhythms. There may be a very slight difference from US Contemporary gospel in that the rhythms and keyboard sounds have a Caribbean carnival influence, but if this was performed in the US you probably wouldn't notice. Some breaks sound like Missy Elliott, very contemporary with serious quality production. Be warned, you can't really listen to this without inanely grinning and getting caught into the carnival procession steps. There is the occasional down change of tempo such as "Clean Heart" and "Lord, My Soul Thirsts" where classic gospel choir singing comes to the fore but means the contemporary feel is not consistent through the album. The 32-strong Harvest Generation choir come from the Bahamas Harvest Church in Nassau where Adrian is an elder. This 2011 album is only their third release after the 'Rejoice' album in 2004 (which received 10 Marlin Award nominations), and the 2008 single release of two tracks "The Lord Is Good, Good, Good (Oh Na, Na, Na, Na)" and "He's Opened Up The Heavens", both of which are included on this album.
