Every now and again I get captivated by something supremely leftfield and here it is ! 'Didgeridoo Dancing' features supreme didgeridoo player Adrian Ross showing just how trendy you can be with a didge! Combining massive percussion, jazz, blues and ambient sound together, this is one imaginative album. Energetic, unusual and completely compelling this is an album that leaps out of the speakers and demands your attention, if only because there's nothing else like it! 'Southern Storm' is a bluesy American rock workout complete with didge undertones! Sounds bizarre? Wait until you hear 'Crustacean Strut' with its sound effects and funk workout! 'Urban Myth' musically counterpoints the busyness of urban life with the simplicity of the outback origins of the didgeridoo, My favourite has to be the fast and furious 'Warrior Clash' - just bass, piles of percussion and didge - awesome! If you're looking for something completely different, this could be it! Too noisy to be purely ambient but too unusual to sit on your shelf as a bland instrumental album, this wants your attention!
