Aeolian are a group of musicians who came together out of the worship team at their home church, River Of Life Outreach in Lyons, Georgia, USA. 'Risk' is a diverse album, drawing on the influences of jazz and blues, as well as a hint of progressive rock. Vocal duties are shared between guitarist Teri Williams and pianist Eric Love and lyrically the album is beautifully spiritual. 'Risk' is actually a concept album, following a young girl on a metaphorical journey which parallels our journey through life and the risks we take on that journey. 'Risk' is a creative work which hints at a level of musicality not always found in the church worship group, the arrangements are subtly coloured with violin and mandolin parts. Noah Bullard's sensitive touch on both bass guitar and double bass, together with Micah Williams on drums, create an atmospheric backdrop for some gorgeous compositions.
