Finally, after two years 'Global Warning' has officially seen the light of day. Upon first listen, Ian Start's panache for writing top quality songs becomes immediately apparent. Musically in the same vein as John Wetton era Asia, the band offer some fine moments of classic AOR. Tackling everything from admonishment ("Zero Hour") to praise ("Come In Power"  and power ballad "Pour Your Love On Me"). Stott and co leave the listener in no doubt about either their stand on eternal matters, or of Jesus Christ. "Caught In The Cross Fire", featuring producer Paul May on lead guitar, immediately stands out above the rest of the material; awe-inspiring shredding, complex arrangements deftly delivered, the song has all the hall marks of classic AOR. It is a real shame that After The Fall have since split up; one can only imagine what might have happened had they landed a major record deal. Given the restraints when recording and producing 'Global Warning', May has brought out the very best in After The Fall.
