Ali Croxford is a Yorkshire lass with plenty of vocal talent who has spent a number of years on the outskirts of the UK scene using her gift as a backing vocalist. 'Life's A Story' sees her stepping out into the spotlight with a collection of her own songs produced by Simon Goodall. The production is light and airy, with Dan Wheeler particularly adding some cool electric guitar here and there to the melody of Croxford's songs that are written from the heart. The title song is the key here where Ali shares about her life's journey through ups and downs. She's had her share of downs and it's from a place of having successfully negotiated her way through dark times that her ministry reaches out to others. Some of these songs work very well and the overall outcome is an album which is a good debut effort but leaves plenty of room for Ali to grow as a songwriter and artist. Like Goodall, there's no reason why she shouldn't carve out a ministry visiting and playing in churches.

I would like to get in touch with Ali Croxford to ask if we could haver permission to use the song 'over in the stable' with our pre-school children's music group.
