ABC are a London-based sextet comprising one male vocalist (Matthew Dadson) and five women, of whom the most recognisable is Sharlene Hector (best known for starring in an early noughties Coca Cola advert). The album itself is kind of a weird hybrid of Hillsong-style worship with an 'urban' slant, with guest appearances by rappers Karl Nova and Icie, and singer Ryan Carty. On the whole, the musicianship and vocals here are of high quality and there are a few memorable moments; "Communicate" is nice and "You Never Change" has a great '80s electro vibe to it. "Living In Me"' is very much in the Hillsong pop-worship vein. I have to say, though, that the accompanying DVD doesn't really do the guys justice. You don't really get any sense of atmosphere from it, and when we first see the audience they seem really sedate - bored, even. An okay album, but a bit more creative thinking should have gone into the making of the DVD.
