Named CCM's producer of the year recently Paul Mills, shows here plenty of nice touches on the debut release by Ms Durham. America has plenty of top calibre female CCM singers and I wasn't convinced on first play that Allison has that spark of individuality to make her stand out from the crowd. She has a sweetish tinge to her voice (imagine a cross between Susan Ashton and Sheila Walsh), there are plenty of top players in evidence here (Jerry McPherson included) and the songs are good without any of them coming out of the top drawer. With a review like this no doubt now this set produce four number one Christian radio hits Stateside. But somehow 'Walk Into Freedom' didn't involve me.
