They say that imitation is the biggest form of flattery so Ron Kenoly will be very flattered if he ever gets to hear this album! Alvin Slaughter engages his rich, raspy, powerful, soulful voice in a series of songs focussing on revival. Timely perhaps and there's enough good stuff here for me to be stirred although it's patchy in places. I like "God's Gonna Do It Again" which anticipates God sending revival. It is the closing two songs that make this worth getting. Firstly, "Revive Us Lord" builds up with a prayerful plea for God to pour out his Holy Spirit. From there the band take the congregation into praise overdrive. "Give God The Glory" sees Slaughter almost doing some good old fashioned testifying as he pulls out all the stops vocally. Brilliant actually! It's when the choir sing the line "Satan the blood of Jesus is against you" that the tingles start going down my spine! After this pair of songs I'm left thinking, "What's so bad about sounding like Uncle Ron in places?" God is glorified, surely revival is on its way and the final score here is God 1 Satan nil.

i have a personal copy that I bought in 1999 after a few weeks of living in America. I had been introduced to this in Ghana by my choir leader. These CDs are easy to come by in Africa , but for those of u who want a copy, send me an email at gatesofgracebookstore@gmail.com.

I was introduced to this cassette when I was 12 years old... It became one of those cassettes I listened to day and night as a result I know all the songs of by heart. I had been going through a season in my life and needed a Revival, I looked for this c.d everywhere with no breakthrough. Is it possible that this C.D be made available again?

Cannot agree more with Mike Rimmer when he says "tingles start going down my spine" when listening to "Give God the Glory"! What an amazing song. Cannot find the "Revive Us Again" CD anywhere - Amazon only has casettes available. Do you know why "Revive us Again" is out of print and do you know if "Give God the Glory" is available on any other site or if it is part of a compilation CD maybe? Or maybe if any other artists sings it (though I doubt it can be as good as the Alvin Slaughter version).
