Reviewed by Tricia Campbell A lot of the major Christian artists are beginning to introduce enhanced CD LPs into the British market and here is one from established world famous artist Amy Grant. When you access the enhanced files on the CD ROM single, she welcomes you to browse through and enjoy the "behind the scenes" video footage. Unfortunately, the CD ROM doesn't work to its full extent on all computers, some of the video footage is missing, but overall, it is amusing, informal, and interesting. "Takes A Little Time" is a happy, rocky and very likeable little tune. I particularly like the rocky beginning, when it kicks in, you can tell the whole thing is gonna be a gem. Amy Grant's reassuring friendly voice soaring above the funky drums, guitar, organ and harmonica, makes the song quite Sheryl Crowish. There are two other tracks on the single. "Somewhere Down The Road" is a touching, thoughtful song about life and there is a beautiful re-recording of "El Shaddai" (written by Michael Card). This CD ROM single highlights Amy's talent in songwriting, her beautiful voice, and what a nice person she is. It's a good introduction to Amy Grant if you aren't familiar with her and a great addition to your collection if you're a fan.

I have this cd maxi single in my Amy Grant collection of cd and vinyl. Yeah, I am one who cannot access the extra pc footage, but I do have the video for "Takes a Little Time". I have various video versions for"El Shaddai". I have the 1983 version from her Age to Age concert, plus other versions from 2003 and 2004 concerts; oh and her 2006 live concert. I luv "Somewhere Down the Road", who cannot relate to these simple lyrics we have all said at one time or another in life;beautiful song Amy! GOD Bless! - Don
