With so many bands out there wrestling to get Joe Public's attention it's important for a group to locate a sound which, if not entirely original, at least sets them apart from the crowd. I'd say this team from Oregon, led by one time Falling Up guitarist Tom Cox, have managed it with their second EP. The first two cuts "Sway With Me" and "Jupiter Bound" have an '80s influenced synth pop sound which I predict will get some airplay while the slower, moodier "Ivy" has a spacey melancholic vibe which will make you return to it again and again. A band from whom we'll undoubtingly be hearing more.
