The British Church has long been the front runners in making albums for church-going children. With this album the !Audacious megachurch in Manchester have put themselves up there with the very best music you will find targeted at the five-year-old or even the 12-year-old. A key figure in putting this album together is singer, rapper and producer Chip Kendall (yes, thebandwithnoname man). Whether Chip is taking the vocal mic, offering witty and Scripture-loaded lyrics or encouraging the contributing kids to be as manically energised as he is, the resulting album is a delightfully contemporary take on songs for the kids to sing and dance to. Dubstep, catchy pop hooks and dance rhythms collide in a joyful extravaganza of fun-filled songs so that whether you're looking for a full on "praise party", celebrating being part of the "Family" or finding that a list of the books of the Bible could be fun ("Boom Chicka", which begins with a great line "I know the King that is bigger than Kong"). Like all great children's music, this is also all age worship. So even when I don't have my grandchildren to dance around the front room with, I'm gonna play 'Lift Off!' in my home at full volume.
