Reviewed by Tony Cummings

Critics of the whole phenomenon of contemporary rock worship normally fall into two camps - those who feel that the guitar-driven rhythms of the genre has become far too stylised since Delirious?/Sonicflood first exploded onto the scene and those who feel that too many of the songs' lyrics are theologically lightweight, often being little more than repetitive exhortations to arise and start the fight/revolution. Certainly this, the first live album from the British youth conference hardly breaks new musical ground and one or two of the lyrics do teeter dangerously towards cliché, but there is also so much passion, guts and spiritual determination captured in the 14 original songs here that only the most jaded believer would fail to be engaged by this earthily exciting album. Worship leaders Mark 'Foz' Foster and Jenny Dring are in good voice while the band offer some blistering guitar riffs and some fine drumming from Simon Bolton. Recorded at the Mega Centre, Sheffield on 26th May, this is up there with the best Hillsong United and Soul Survivor. As a bonus there is a 'Dog Ruff Mix' CD. How can you resist?
