Christmas albums are becoming increasingly popular amongst Christian artists, however these are normally worship or pop artists. They are not so common among metal and hardcore acts. There may be a reason for this, which becomes apparent as you listen to this album. Eschewing vocals for all but 1 track, the sound is also quite different. The distortion is turned down and a more punk-style sound emerges from the speakers. The way the Christmas evergreens like "Oh Holy Night", "Little Drummer Boy" and, would you believe, "Frosty The Snowman" are arranged is quite interesting, especially with the guitar covering the vocal melody lines. However, I did find my attention waning and had to work hard at wading through the whole album in one sitting. I imagine the band having a lot of fun working the songs out and recording them, but I would suggest that most people will find this gathering dust in their collection, even within their Christmas albums.
