Anyone who's read Cross Rhythms' recent feature on Georgia's August Rain will know that this band have achieved a rare feat in getting major American Christian radio stations to play some of their music. One listen to this delicious EP will explain why. They've managed to conjure up a sound which, with its richly distinctive lead singer and clever arrangements, encompass everything from electro pop to guitar-driven worship while remaining as fresh and innovative as anything out there. They have in frontman and main composer Matthew Janzen a huge talent while songs like "Show Me Your Light" with its unexpected banjo riff and "iLove" are instantly memorable. In fact, the whole six-song extravaganza has more hooks than an anglers convention. Here's hoping a full album comes soon.
