One of the successes of this year's Green belt Fringe, their jokey name (apparently there is an Auntie Rose back in Glasgow) hides the identity of most of Live Option, who before they broke up in 1990 were one of Scotland's evangelisitic rock bands. Here you get three songs on a neat little demo. Don't know what the lyrics of "American Girl" say if anything at all, but it's beefy rock with plenty of heavyish guitar licks and a drive which demands response from the feet. The acoustic ballad "Green Room" tries to build soulfully but is rather dull. All in all not bad guys. Love to auntie.

Got nostalgic watching the Beatles "Get Back" documentary and had a nosey around for the old crew and found this thread.

Happy to report that I am also alive and kicking and living in the Glasgow area. Few will be surprised to know I work in software these days.

Any idea how to get a hold of the album with rise on? Absolutely loved this band. Seemed to come and go as quickly which was a massive shame. Many thanks

Is this the same band that had a CD in the big issue about 15 years or so ago and did the song "rise"? If so been after another copy of their album for years. Thanks

It said at that start if the article the band/ artist is deceased/ disbanded!! Happy to report all the various members of the dream that was Auntie Rose are not the former. Alive & kicking and all up to something. In my case ( thanks anonymous) yes, I run performing arts in a London college helping young people achieve. Rita Ora was one of my ex-students although her success was everything to do with Jay Z and nothing to do with me!

John Dunlop- if you see this I hope you are very well mate.

And, of course, Elouise. Very best wishes too.
