A Maze Of Grace' is Avalon's second album which has soared high into America's Christian music charts. Rightly so. Their sound has matured a lot since their self-titled debut album. Maybe that's because of their numerous appearances on national television programmes, or. perhaps, performing for more than 650,000 people with some of the top names in Christian music (Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W Smith. Sandi Patty, etc). 'A Maze Of Grace* is the result of four individuals from different backgrounds getting together and producing great harmonies. They describe themselves as "a kind of Euro-pop pad and a "70s element. No! forgetting the heavy gospel and R&B edge...with some very inspiring moments too.' My favourite track is "Speed Of Light", a strong up beat song with a powerful message. Throughout the album, the message is clear and uncompromised, with themes such as revival and the endurance of prayer. Charlie Peacock adds a little shine to the already classy songs as producer and there are a few big names among the songwriting crew. High quality Nashville CCM.
