New Zealand-based couple Barry and Terri Collecutt's previous album, 'Forsaking All' (2005), received much good press here in the UK and 'Be My King' will no doubt follow suit. Their strong Vineyard Music influences are again evident here this jam-packed CD is a worthy addition to the contemporary worship music scene. My first impression is that Terri Collecutt has the better voice for this soft style of worship music, that's not to say Barry's skills should not be recognised - he is clearly an anointed songwriter, musician and producer. The quality of the production is professional all the way to the end and with 14 tuneful praise and worship songs this is a very easy listen. Standout tracks for me were "High Above" as well as the beautiful "How Long" which passionately declares the truth of God's faithfulness. I note also that one of the duo's children, Micaela, features as a backing vocalist - maybe the Collecutts could grow into a family group in time?
