The ongoing torrent of modern worship has ensured that there are today hundreds of albums from the worship teams of local churches though only a few make it to Christian retail distribution let alone becoming serious contenders to compete with the sales and influence of Hillsong, Sydney or Bethel, Redding. But after one track of 'Wildfire' one can hear why Joining The Dots have picked up on this one for the UK retailers. For a start, it's a studio album rather than the cheaper to record but more predictable live project and the sound is crisp and punchy. Secondly, the team have in Busayo Bakare a singer whose husky, warmly expressive contralto is one of the best heard on a UK project for many a day. Third, and most important, the songs like the powerful title track opener, the appropriately titled "Raw Passion" (based on Psalm 84) and the gently wistful "Fall On Me" (the latter song by Paul and Vicky Miche) are all memorable. Only the sleeve with a surreal image of a young lady seemingly on fire seems more appropriate for a Pink Floyd album than a set of congregational worship songs. All in all, an album with songs and performances strong enough to be heard beyond the reaches of the Somerset cathedral city.

Product Description
“The tracks on this album were recorded during a cold weekend in January 2013 when worshippers from Bath City Church came together to give themselves to God in heartfelt praise and intimate worship.

“The tracks are mostly written by members of the church and represent some of the diversity of style and gifting that God is raising up in churches across the world today.

“The title track Wildfire expresses something of our desire to see God touch our lives in such a profound way. So often in the past we have lived lives that are ‘tame’ by comparison to how we could be and we believe God is strongly and lovingly urging us on to become like ‘wildfires’ for Him - people filled with the Holy Spirit, living life with passion for Him and setting ablaze everything around us with His life and power!

“Our hope is that this album goes some way in expressing our exuberant praise to God for who he is, extravagant thanks for all He’s done in our lives and intimate and passionate worship full of love from hearts that have been transformed by His love for us!

“We hope that you will enjoy it, that it will encourage your faith and that God will use it to inspire you to go both higher and deeper in your worship of our amazing God!”
