Music to hoover the house by. All instrumental dedicated to fathers -"Thank you for everything, Dad" says the sleeve. There's no clear indication what this dedication is all about; the music isn't particularly masculine nor does it give role models, musically. Oh well. It's pleasant enough and I suppose this is the problem. It's just nice, well played instrumentals like you'd hear from Elton John while he's waiting for inspiration. The style, however, is more Richard Clayderman with hammer-on seconds all the time, but very well executed. The piano sound is beautiful, Hammond cuts in now and again as does some lovely guitar. Sax gently blows, too, but it's all very non-descript and leaves you wondering what lies behind it all. There are no recording details, no voices and no passion. Surely the Father heart has this at least? Other than all this, and one rather groovy, bluesy track "Change The World", which looks like it might get exciting but doesn't, it's all a bit of a mystery.
