Those with long pop-gospel memories will remember New Beginnings, a foursome who did some pleasant/some dire albums before pitching for pop-crossover (as?) and fading away. Now the husband/wife mainstay of the group are pretty active in praise and worship have written some excellent worship songs and here perform them with aplomb. The opener tries too hard to get a funky dance beat going so that Sharon's light voice can’t handle it but several of the worship ballads are quite beautiful. If you're after praise with a touch of synth-pop. This low-budget album could well hit the spot for you.
