This DVD was filmed at the same time as the 'Nashville Homecoming' release though there are significant changes in the Homecoming Friends showcased here, namely southern gospel heavyweights The Gaither Vocal Band and Ernie Haase & Signature Sound make contributions. I particularly enjoyed "Long As I've Got King Jesus" by Brian Free And Assurance and a fantastic piano instrumental by Kim Collingsworth "Swingin' & Marchin'". The latter was followed by a great bluegrass performance by The Cherryholmes "I Need Your Light" while "Angel Band" by MOR veteran Cynthia Clawson simply has to be heard to be believed and provokes memories of when I saw her years ago at the Wembley Country Music Gospel show. A big surprise is the wheelchair appearance of Jimmy Dean who reprises his classic hit "Big Bad John" and then the recitation "The Farmer And The Lord". Undoubtedly one of the most moving things I have ever seen on a DVD surrounds the Gatlin Brothers performance of "Alleluia". This is preceded by Bill playing a private video dating back 17 years of when they first recorded a Homecoming album when Larry Gatlin received prayer from many members of the cast over his vocal problem (it was uncertain whether he would ever sing again). Happily Larry is back performing on this DVD and delivers a moving vocal.
