Obviously it pays to record two albums and two DVDs when you transport such an array of talent to the picnic park in Tennessee, and whilst this is a very good album, it doesn't match up to the 'The Homecoming Picnic'. My only thought is that by the time they came to record this around the campfire, maybe some of their enthusiasm had waned. The album starts brightly enough with a couple of lively tracks from the husband and wife country duo Jeff & Sheri Easter, "Jesus, Hold My Hand" and "Livin' In The Rain". Almost as good are The Isaacs who deliver a good song "I Have Found A Way" - solid bluegrass with Lily Isaacs singing lead. Buddy Greene along with Jeff Taylor does a fine job of the old, Washington Phillips-penned black gospel standard "Denomination Blues". But there are other performances here that simply don't catch fire.
