Reviewed by David Faulkner Put together a check list for a gospel release, and this one has it. Stunning male and female lead voices? Yes. Great unison and harmony singing from this Bahamas-based choir? Present and correct. Energetic, funky up-tempo praise songs, mixed with power ballads? Yes, those too. Mini-sermon mid-CD from the bishop? Check. So you might think this is just another formulaic gospel release. Actually, no. This has all you would expect, and more. Not only is the CD accompanied by a DVD of the performance, so you can see the singers, musicians and added dance troupe, this has something special in the song department. You just won't be able to get the melodies out of your head. It doesn't matter whether it's the opening "I Command My Soul", followed by "Sing A Song Of Praise" that will get you jumping around and clapping, or the standout ballad "Don't Do It Without Me", if you love gospel choirs you will want this release. It does sag a little in the second half with too many consecutive ballads, and it is slightly disappointing that several live songs are faded, but apart from those minor quibbles, this is an outstanding release.
