This is a Cook's tour of sacred black music, or black music made sacred - reggae, traditional African and Caribbean songs, spirituals, and some new compositions. The performers are five beautiful female voices from London who could give TV reality show hopefuls nightmares with their talents. If the recording suffers in any way, it is purely due to the limitations of the independent recording. There is enough here to suggest that they deserve a big budget and that they are most likely incendiary live.
