Down the years you have heard the strident and affecting voice of Puerto Rican-born and American-raised vocalist Blanca Callahan (originally Reyes) when she sang with CCM hitmakers Group 1 Crew. After the death of her mother in 2016 she began working on a batch of songs which have become this EP. The title track conveys how Blanca discovered the real love of God even in the midst of grieving a great loss. The honesty in her lyrics easily connects with a generation that are hungry to know a God who is real, and not just a religious structure. "I want Jesus and His real love/It's something that I crave deep inside of my bones/So you can leave your religion at home." Her R&B and hip-hop roots are combined with a soulful, worship sound on this latest release, calling the listener to encounter Jesus in a deeper way. Another standout track is "Give It All" featuring the Dominican Christian hip-hop artist, Redimi2, which closes out the record with its Latin beats and declarations of the freedom that is found in surrendering to God. "Give It All", "Real Love" and "Undeniable" have all been selected for Cross Rhythms airplay so you'll soon be hearing just how good some of these tracks are.
