This American pop rock team, who were once featured in Cross Rhythms (CR51), had three successful albums on Forefront before disappearing for a while. They now return on Seattle's fave indie label Tooth & Nail. From this album, “We Are Tomorrow” has been released as a single and is doing well. The music is a good full-blown but not too heavy rock mix with a suitable amount of screaming guitar and thrashing drums. There are some lighter moments such as the last track, “Jen’s Song", which reprises the “Intro” riff, providing an effective balance to the album. Had to listen quite hard to get the focus of the lyrics on some of the tracks and they weren’t yet posted on the website but there were some definite Christian principles coming through, particularly on “Celebrate”. The album was quite short, but generally was an enjoyable 35 minutes which reminded me of years ago, before Christian rock came to the UK, listening to early Ultravox (before Midge Ure), Stranglers and Rush albums – it’s so much better having God-centred lyrics to sing along to.
