It would be too much to expect the Nashville suits to put together a comprehensive compilation taking in the best of Bob's recordings when he fronted the Allies, but this is still a disappointment, representing Bob's winning ways with big ballads and ignoring just about everything else. There are still highlights of course, his "Butterfly Kisses" may be a love it or hate it exercise in parental sentimentality but it's still one of the most memorable songs to come out of Nashville for years while his brilliant rendition of "We Fall Down" leaves the Donnie McClurkin smash hit version for dead. There are some other impressive moments - Bob's anthemic version of "I Will Follow Christ" where he's joined by Clay Crosse and BeBe Winans. But despite the rasping, soulful quality of Bob's vocal chops this one-dimensional snapshot of one of the great CCM singers is unlikely to draw many new fans while his existing ones will already possess most of these tracks.
