'The Hard Road' is a deep thinking album which explores many of the trials faced by individuals and the Christian church in this modern age. Recorded at Sandlewood Studios in Scotland, Bob David Bell and Dave Mitchell have produced an insightful album about one man's journey to God. Released independently 'The Hard Road' is the 29 year old's follow up album to 'The Narrow Path'. It showcases Bob's musical talents as a guitar, keyboard, harmonica and mandolin player while his lyrics are all extremely poetic. "Beautiful" is cleverly written while "Love Is You, You Are Love" is a particular standout. "Change Me", the last track, could be described as the closing prayer- a cry for help. Having been through a journey during the previous songs, the journey ends with the realisation that God is the answer.
