The musical pride and joy of Wigan has come up with a delightful CD, which includes strong recordings of favourites like "English Born Dixie Fried" which has become almost an anthem of the British country scene. This is good strong modern music, which would appeal to a much wider audience than just country fans, if only Bob could find some way to market it other than on his concert appearances. The strong opener "Let Freedom Ring" has gospel overtones. "Send Me A Purpose" is straight gospel, and one or two others have very reflective lyrics. An album of good British country music.
