Music for hotel evenings. That's how it's portrayed and that's how it is. Easy going, laid back jazz which will appeal to the masses. Brentwood released an album of their stuff last year too. This time there's a little more of a vocal presence, more of a message than last time. "Joshua Fit (yes 'FIT') The Battle Of Jericho" gets a run out and is handled in a very understated way, it's one of three tracks which include vocals. By far the best is the title track "Secret Signature", inspired by a line from C S Lewis and is sung by guitarist Mark Baldwin. It's nice to see the band move in to the vocal arena a little more, but it's also reassuring to know that they're still gently swinging it with numbers like "Praise To The Lord The Almighty". Pleasant and relaxing.
